Literature Text

There's a wall before me,
Built as tall as I can conceive it to be,
And equally as wide.

My fears, hopes, desires,
All clarity of thought,
Spelt boldly across it.

An intricate quilt
Of raw emotions,
Cushioned by nothing.

I have melted my gold,
Made my calf,
Adored my false deity.

What would I give to read
The words around me,
The words within?

Spelt boldly across it
(So boldly as I am blind!)
In a language I've strived to learn.

I gave birth to the thought -
Conceived -
An escape.

There is a passage through the wall,
A chance I can walk through it,
And somehow not get hurt.
I wrote it about a friend, for a friend... a combination of both?
Quillalieve.

Would a whole kilt of quillalieve feel so strongly as I? Would any attempt to express my remorse and sadness be anything but an injustice? Even words have limits, so I offer only these:

Thank you.
Sorry.
